We have always wanted to do beautiful and original collaborations that arise from a spark. Just like we do at Fraela. We enjoy experiments and discoveries of the new, which are a lot of work and excitement. That's why a few years ago we started professionally producing natural decorative items and today also producing soy candles. And in the meantime we met Katka Jakubčinová.

We were familiar with Katka's work. The Biela Laba brand, under which she works together with her colleague Linda, is minimalist, natural, but also unique and lovely. We were drawn to her because we knew she would be able to grasp Fraela's point and create a unique stoneware for our new Jolly candle .

At Katka's.

We met Katka in her studio several times. We were able to peek into her second home and admire the nooks and crannies of her workspace.

She prepared a sampler for us, on which she tried various techniques and coatings. And we tried to push her in a layman's way to a level that at first glance seemed impossible. But something even better came out.

From glaze to firing

Katka experimented with colors, glazes and knew she wanted to achieve Fraela. And she succeeded. The entire container is uniquely designed and glazed for our colab.

"The assignment was clear, to get the color of the glaze as close as possible to the pigments of lipsticks and highlighters. Mixing the right combinations of glazes was more time-consuming, but the feeling when it was done was beautiful."

Limit

Our collaboration resulted in a limited edition of 60 candles in an original and unique handmade stoneware cup. Each container is numbered and branded on the bottom. Each piece carries the creative artist's love for his work.

And the story of Fraela

Making cosmetics has been our hobby for years. When we were deciding to go into something of our own, we also flirted with the idea of making soy candles (candle lovers here), but in the end, decorative arts won out.

Today we can finally say that this long-standing dream of ours has come true.

Hand-poured soy candles called Jolly have a delicious scent of freshly baked cake. Your home will be filled with notes of cloves, cinnamon and brown sugar .

It is the ideal scent to bring Christmas cheer and comfort.
